An unforgettable trip in China:
I would like to share with you a recent trip I took. This trip was an experience that brought me close to the majestic beauty of Baekdu Mountain and the historical relics of Beijing. This 6-day vacation was an experience that taught me a lot about the tranquility of nature, and it was a trip that perfectly combined the grandeur of nature and the aftertaste of history.
The Great Wall of China in Beijing:
My adventure began in Beijing, where I was overwhelmed by the vastness of the Great Wall. Reaching the Great Wall was not easy. I had to climb many stairs that seemed like millions of steps. Since the Great Wall is located in the mountains, I had to take a mountain cable car afterwards.
And there it was, the Great Wall of China. Walking along the endless stretch of the Great Wall across the landscape, I felt a deep connection to this UNESCO World Heritage Site. As I had waited my whole life to climb this place, the moment felt truly special.
The Magic of Baekdu Mountain (Baekdu Mountain):
Our next destination was Baekdu Mountain, known in China as Changbai Mountain. As soon as we laid eyes on the snow-covered peak, we could understand why this place is so sacred. The white rocks sparkled like diamonds in the sunlight, and we could not help but be amazed by the pristine beauty of this place.
Discovering the West Slope of Baekdu Mountain:
The west slope was simply another world to me. View of Heaven Lake (Cheonji) from here was absolutely stunning. I can still to this day recall standing there and staring at the water to no end as peacefulness began seping into my soul.
When I got to sight the Jinjiang Grand Canyon with its huge cliffs and thick forests, it made me speechless. This experience really assured me on how powerful and beautiful our nature really is. I will never forget the awe this beautiful scenerey has put on my face.
The Wonders of the North Slope:
On the north slope, I visited the Changbai Waterfall. The sight of water cascading down a 68-meter cliff was mesmerizing. Did you know that the water here never freezes, even in winter?
I also had the chance to soak in the natural hot springs of Baekdu Mountain. The warm, mineral-rich waters were soothing, and I could even feel my stress begin to melt away. Nevertheless, the highlight of this day was sighting the Heaven Lake from Tianwen Peak. As I stood there, looking over the serene waters, I felt a deep sense of connection with nature. I knew that this was the moment I would cherish forever.
